Why eHome America Came To Be

eHome America was designed to help more people obtain Certified Homebuyer Education. Many people have a difficult time getting to their local NeighborWorks® Chartered Member office for in-person counseling. This online version helps individuals get the education and certification that they need at their convenience.

Though this online course can never replace the in-person counseling that occurs every day all across America, we believe that participants can gain a thorough understanding of the homebuying process with this online program.

Every person that takes this course will be directly connected to a NeighborWorks® Chartered Member, often times in their area. This insures that participants continue to receive the one-on-one counseling that they need over the phone or in person while they receive their certification online.

How eHome America was Developed

eHome America was developed as a partnership between NeighborWorks America® and Community Ventures Corporation (CVC), a NeighborWorks® Chartered Member based in Lexington, Kentucky.

This program was developed around the Realizing the American Dream educational text. From this content, numerous videos were produced along with interactive forms and other downloadable materials. All items in this program are designed to enhance the understanding of the homebuying process, from start to finish.
