Avenue CDC is a nonprofit HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Agency providing Homebuyer Education and Counseling in English and Spanish. Our mission is to invest in people, homes and communities to advance equity and opportunity for all Houstonians.

Avenue is located in Houston, Texas. This online course is provided in partnership with eHome America with the intent of helping prospective homeowners make informed and empowered decisions in the process of buying a home. This course orients prospective homebuyers to the process of buying a home covering topics from determining affordability, applying for a loan, mortgage readiness, working with a realtor, offers and contracts, home inspections, homeowner’s insurance, what to expect during the closing and the basics of home maintenance. Participants will also learn about available grants and down payment assistance programs.
