Community Service Programs of West Alabama, Inc., (CSP) is a private nonprofit, community action agency, created by the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. CSP is dedicated to building stronger families and communities in its service area. The agency uses public and private funding sources to develop and administer its various programs and encourages participation in coalitions with other organizations.

CSP is part of the national NeighborWorks network, an affiliation of more than 245 nonprofit organizations located in every state, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. In 2014, the NeighborWorks network helped 300,000 individuals and families with affordable housing and counseling. The NeighborWorks network was founded and is supported by NeighborWorks America, which creates opportunity for people to live in affordable homes, improve their lives and strengthen their communities.
