Human Development Commission
Since its inception in 1965 as a Michigan private, non-profit corporation, HDC has provided human services to the communities and residents of Huron, Lapeer, Sanilac and Tuscola, in rural Michigan and has supported the needs of renters and first time homebuyers by creating housing solutions so more in Michigan have a place to call home. First-time Homeownership is a great opportunity; it is also a big responsibility. Statistics prove that Homebuyer Education contributes to successful homeownership.
We have found that potential homebuyers who need Homebuyer Education usually have to take time off or rearrange their schedules to take the on-site workshops, at a time when the potential homebuyer is trying to save every dollar, sometimes this is not the best option.
You'll learn about the home buying process from start to finish, what you can afford, how to choose the right house, lender and mortgage, and so much more. Upon completion of this course you will need to contact HDC to receive your Homebuyer Education certificate.
This course in Homebuyer Education will take a number of hours (about 6 hours) to complete and while the course is online and can be completed at your convenience.
PLEASE NOTE: You will be required to contact Human Development Commission for follow up prior to receiving your certificate of completion.
