Homestead Resources was established in 1983 to address the housing needs of individuals and families throughout ten counties across northwestern Indiana. For over 42 years, Homestead Resources has provided housing counseling and financial education services to thousands of individuals and families in Benton, Boone, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Montgomery, Putnam, Tippecanoe, Warren, and White counties. We also serve families across the state through specialized program offerings. Homestead Resources is a HUD-certified Housing Counseling Agency offering education and counseling services to renters and homeowners regardless of income.
Homestead Resources is certified by the U.S. Department of Treasury as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). Our programs promote affordable housing and strong neighborhoods populated by residents who have the tools needed to live quality lives and who contribute positively to their communities. We ensure that families are given the financial knowledge they need to achieve and maintain affordable housing. Our objective is to increase homeownership, maintain homeownership where it already exists, and educate families on attaining safe, quality, and stable housing.
