Long Island Housing Services, Inc. (LIHS) is a private, non-profit Fair Housing advocacy and enforcement agency. Its mission is the elimination of unlawful housing discrimination and promotion of decent and affordable housing through advocacy and education. LIHS is a HUD-approved Housing Counseling agency which provides counseling and education regarding: Fair Housing, Tenant's Rights, Mortgages (foreclosure prevention and home ownership). LIHS investigates discrimination and facilitates enforcement of Fair Housing laws.

LIHS also reports mortgage scams and provides Foreclosure Prevention legal services without charge.
