Thank you for choosing Richmond Neighborhood Housing Services (RNHS) dba Neighborhood Housing Services of the East Bay as your online homebuyer education provider. RNHS is a HUD-approved 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that provides housing counseling dedicated to creating vibrant communities and building assets that make a positive impact in people's lives. Successful completion of this course and the one-on-one counseling session qualifies you for special loans, down payment assistance programs and exclusive listings for first time homebuyers.

After completing our E-learning Program, your certificate of completion will be emailed to you along with your lender on file, within 24 hours or the next business day. Our Administrative Assistant, Tisha Hernandez, will also follow up with an email on the required next steps to meet with our HUD Certified Counselor for one-on-one counseling. 

Please note that one-on-one counseling is not required but included in our E-Learning Program. To meet with our HUD Certified counselor, our Pre-purchase application must be submitted with the requested document as stated on the first page. This will be included in Tisha's follow up email, but you can also submit the application using the following link: 2018 Pre-Purchase Counseling Application. Once your application is processed, we will schedule your initial one-on-one counseling session virtually with our HUD Certified Counselor, and get you started with the E-learning Pre-Purchase Education Program. During this time, the counselor will help apply for special loans, down payment assistance programs and exclusive listings for first time homebuyers.
