NeighborWorks Salt Lake, a private non-profit 501(c)(3), opened its doors in 1977 with the mission of revitalizing neighborhoods and creating affordable housing by providing dynamic and creative leadership through partnerships with residents, youth, businesses, and government entities. NeighborWorks Salt Lake is a HUD-approved counseling agency.
Though this online course cannot replace in-person homebuyer counseling, we believe that participants can gain a thorough understanding of the home buying process.
Please note the course will take you approximately eight hours to complete. You are required to participate in a one-hour individual counseling session. Residents residing in Salt Lake County are required to attend an in-person session and residents outside of Salt Lake County can receive the one-hour counseling session via phone. Same day appointments following completion of the electronic course are NOT AVAILABLE. You will be scheduled to visit with a counselor within 48 hours following completion of the electronic course. The one hour session reviews key elements from the class and is an opportunity todiscuss any questions you may have. You will receive your certificate upon completion of the one hour follow-up session. Please contact our office at 801-539-1590 to schedule your follow-up appointment, held either in-person or by telephone.
We will do our best to accommodate your closing date. However, please try to plan in advance your completion time and final meeting to ensure you receive your certificate in a timely manner. We are unable to accommodate last minute course completions.
