Thank you for selecting NeighborWorks Green Bay to complete your online Homebuyer Education Course, through eHome America. NeighborWorks® Green Bay is a nonprofit corporation that strengthens neighborhoods and improves lives by revitalizing housing, enhancing neighborhood character, and promoting and preserving homeownership.
- The course fee is non-refundable.
- Course Content – About six hours to complete (topics include: determining if homeownership is right for you, budgeting, obtaining financing, selecting a home, and information and skills that you will need after you have become a homeowner)
- You can start and stop the course as often as you like, along with being able to access the information covered in the course after completion
- Fully complete the budgeting plan worksheets that you will find in Part Two of the course (Expense and Income Worksheets)
- Certificate of Completion - Required for many lenders and/or other homebuyer incentives, to receive your certificate you will need to schedule an individualized counseling appointment with an expert housing counselor (additional fees may apply)
NeighborWorks Green Bay may be able to help you access down payment and closing cost assistance for your purchase (if you meet the qualifications). However, it takes at least 15 business days after you’ve completed education and counseling for us to process the loan paperwork.
Educating yourself about the homeownership is an excellent investment of your time and money. However, it does not guarantee that you will qualify for financial assistance either through NeighborWorks Green Bay or other sources. Additional fees may apply when using certain down payment and closing cost assistance programs.
Once you’ve completed the online course, you will be directed to a secure NeighborWorks Green Bay sponsored website where you will create a customer profile. This will be a valuable tool in developing your home buying journey. Creating your profile will give you access to the next steps in the process.
